They became close, without Katie telling Charlie her true condition. They only come out at night. Many days had passed, they fell in love with each other. One time, they went to the lake without noticing what time is it already. They had the chance to go home until the sun rises, but before Katie enter their house, her skin had a contact with the sun. Her condition had been worse. After what happened, that is the Charlie found out Katie's condition. In the end, Katie went to a yacht with Charlie and sunlight on her skin, she was happy until her last breath.

One night, she forgot about the danger and she was exposed to sunlight and eventually got her sick. She at first couldn’t accept the truth and didn’t want to see Charlie again. But at the end, she learnt the importance of the time she could have spent it with the people she loved. She enjoyed the remaining days of her life with Charlie, Jack and her best friend Morgan.
The movie challenged me emotionally since I did my own research about the illness itself. She’s at her happiest when all things collide in just a snap of a finger. The scene when she hurriedly ran to get home caught my attention as if I wanted to save her because I know worse things would happen.
Upon watching the movies, I realized how special our life is. I have a lot of complaints in life not realizing how blessed I am among others. I have a life and a freedom which I never realized as blessings. I realized also that our parents can be overprotective with us but chose to allow us to be happy and let us enjoy the life outside the house. It teaches me also to use my time wisely.
I was once annoyed with my parents being overprotective with me. I thought that they didn’t want me to be happy and they were too strict to a point I wanted to rebel and live my own. I wasted time running after someone I thought I truly loved but it ended up not well. I thought I wouldn’t get any support from my parents. But those were just thoughts because I haven’t seen the importance of their guidance until I got sick and the only people who remained by my side were my family, my parents.
This movie was said to be similar from a movie in Japan. I never had watched it but I have seen ‘A Walk to Remember’ and 50 1st Dates. Illness can be the tragic and saddest part of those movies.
This movie teaches me to live by Faith and enjoy every single moment of your life. Because you will never know what will happen in the future or whom you will lose.

If she really does love her dad and her man, she would take care of herself so she could live longer with and for them. Though her time may be few, her dad did lots of ways to keep her safe and to keep her alive. Yet in just a snap she threw all those efforts away just so she could be happy and satisfied. She should have been more responsible and not selfish for the sake [mostly] of her dad. Because of this, I didn't think this movie has shown good lessons to be followed and I wouldn’t recommend other young people to watch it.
