22. 2. Why is there a need for tabernacles and Adoration chapels?

Answer:

The tabernacle is to be situated ‘in churches in a most worthy place with the greatest honor.’ The dignity, placing, and security of the Eucharistic tabernacle should foster adoration before the Lord really present in the Blessed Sacrament of the altar” (CCC 1183).

Explanation:

Answer:

A tabernacle is a fixed, locked box in which, in some Christian churches, the Eucharist is "reserved" (stored). A less obvious container for the same purpose, set into a wall, is called an aumbry.

Within Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy and in some congregations of Anglicanism and Lutheranism, a tabernacle is a box-like vessel for the exclusive reservation of the consecrated Eucharist. It is normally made of metal, stone or wood, is lockable and secured to its altar or adjacent wall to prevent the consecrated elements within from being removed without authorization.

The "reserved Eucharist" is secured there for distribution at services, for availability to bring Holy Communion to the sick, and, especially in the Western Church, as the centre of attention for meditation and prayer. The term "tabernacle" arose for this item as a reference to the Old Testament tabernacle which was the locus of God's presence among the Jewish people – hence, it was formerly required (and is still generally customary) that the tabernacle be covered with a tent-like veil (conopaeum) or curtains across its door when the Eucharist is present within.

By way of metaphor, Catholics and Orthodox alike also refer to the Blessed Virgin Mary as the Tabernacle in their devotions (such as the Akathist Hymn or Catholic Litanies to Mary), as she carried within her the body of Christ in her role as Theotokos.

23. SHARE YOUR STORIES ABOUT FAITH,DO YOUR FAITH HAVE BEEN TESTED?

Answer:

My faith has been tested multiple times, this includes during our retreat we were told to tell our sins to the father and many of us hesitated including me but i did regardless of knowing i will tell someone else about them. Then while the process was starting it was getting closer to being my turn the priest went to us and said that we should have faith about the activities. So it was then my turn and to my surprise we didn't have to tell the father instead they told us to write it down on a piece of paper and the paper would be burned instead of telling the priest. Another time my faith was tested was with my friend and i who were playing a game in P.E class we were assigned to a game called the trust fall activity so since i was lighter she told me she would catch me instead so i faced back from her and purposely fell, but she was able to catch me. This two times helped me realized that having faith in everyday helps a lot not only with friends but with the lord also.
